1. What kind of art do you make?
I do figurative work that comes from the interaction between the model and me.
My inner world plays a major role in this. To me, the emotion that emits a human with
his body and face is more important
than that a portrait or image is exactly the same.
I want to look behind the mask the arcade. I have become an artist because I was creative along the sidelines for years and at the age of
fifty I thought it was time to give that creativity a
serious tought and I therefore followed a
degree in sculpting
[2. ] What are the topics in your work?
Because I always feel good in an natural enviroment, whether it is forests or beaches.
I would like to use materials
like wood shells and seaweed in my work.
Sometimes I leave them in their original form, I sometimes process it into the image and let it casted into a bronze.
I am also very aware of the speed at which we currently live in , so topics such as:
worth saving and how do we save our planet for our offspring, I use in my work.
Using wood chips (image called "serenity" an image large 1.80 cm) and a portrait in a lace doily that once was my mothers, are examples of it.
are an artist , but undoubtedly also an art lover. What kind of art speaks to you and why?
The most appealing art is very modern and abstract such as Anish Kapoor or Ai wei Wei and
Roni Horn are a good example. But also the images of Lotta
Blokker are my favorite.
Architects who make architectural art in the form of buildings and bridges are also favorites
such as Calatrava, Zaha Hadid and I M Pei
